Intrigued ?? Even I was, it caught my fancy to such an extent that I was spurred to pen down my thoughts. I have often wondered about a message in a bottle. Was it the perfect mode of communication in the olden days when no other form of communication existed?
The sailors inserted the message and let the bottle drift hoping that another vessel passing by would retrieve it and sail to their rescue. It was a form of hope that helped sea fearers reach out for help during a storm; maybe, just maybe, there would be someone who would come looking for the survivors. It is also used as a form of SOS for someone lost at sea.
Our voyage through life is similar; some allow the destruction to take over and let themselves get sucked into the whirlpools, never to rise above the storm. There are those who brave the emotional storms, cut through the waves of turmoil, face the choppy waters of difficulty, withstand the pressures, all in the hope of surviving.
That’s when we decide to write our life story, and we toss it into the ocean called life, and we wait and wait in the belief that we will be rescued. A message in a bottle is a plea of a troubled soul wanting to relieve itself of its trials and tribulations? We all have our deepest darkest secrets stored in the Inner realms, don’t fear, dive deep, and if you cannot surface on your own, reach out.
Let us all put our messages in the bottle and let it drift on the waves of life, for there is someone, somewhere who will hold your hand and help you swim ashore ..
